Welcome to Santa Barbara Bodyworks and thank you for
your interest in our school. We are a bodywork training facility and professional massage center,
staffed by accomplished instructors, seasoned therapists, and
caring individuals. We share a common vision and passion for massage
therapy. This vision has, at its core, a commitment to raising
the standards of bodywork training and practice.
As
educators, we feel it is important to cap enrollment so as not
to exceed a 6:1 student/teacher ratio. This personal attention
lends itself to greater understandings. In addition our
teaching clinics, in support of the classroom instruction, will
assist students with the integration of the curriculum. These
decisions reflect our innovative spirit and are indicative of our
dedication to excellence.
As
therapists, our focus is the support of the body's natural healing
processes through touch. Bodywork is a potent awareness
tool and as such has unlimited potential for transforming dysfunction. The
search to connect with this mechanism will spur growth, both personally
and professionally.
Our
intention here is to create an atmosphere in which all students
can realize their educational goals and allow for the possibility
of receiving much more than they expect in the process. We
